K-pop boy group BIGBANG's former member SEUNGRI's business partner 'Yu' confessed to SEUNGRI's solicitation of sexual escort services for the first time.
According to reports on April 25, Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has acquired a crucial confession from Yuri Holdings co-founder 'Yu'.
SEUNGRI and 'Yu' were both called in for police questioning on April 23 and 24 regarding suspicions of them mediating illicit sexual services for potential business investors.
Police have newly acquired confession from 'Yu' that they solicited sexual escort services for Japanese investors, paying the funds himself.
The police have also confirmed a transaction for a hotel in Seoul for approximately 30 million won (approximately 25,886 dollars) from the mentioned time period, using a business credit card from YG Entertainment.
To this, SEUNGRI's former management agency YG Entertainment simply stated, "Personal expenses not related to SEUNGRI's work were paid by SEUNGRI himself."
According to police, SEUNGRI continues to claim innocence to any account of soliciting sexual escort services, stating that he did provide accommodation for the Japanese investors but that he knew nothing about the prostitution.
Meanwhile, the police are still in the process of investigating more prostitution cases at SEUNGRI's 2017 birthday party in Palawan, the Philippines, and at a club in Korea in November 2015.
